water

This is the best idea and also the worst mistake ever. Our cats' water dish. It holds a lot of water, but the problem is that our cats have figured out how to take the tank off the dish and soak the floor.

Pajama Day

We had pajama day at work today and the kids loved it - especially the fact that Ms Amber dressed up for it too!

There are two of them - one at the feeder, and one in the tree above it. Not quite the stark contrast that would have been in yesterday's photo, but at least I got them today!

what you DON'T see

What you don't see is the brilliantly scarlet cardinal that was there when I stopped to dig my camera out of my backpack. A truck drove by, and when I got up, the bird was gone.

Nice weather lately means I've been able to walk home after work. Great exercise, and an excellent wind-down from being around kids all day.

These are actually quite good - much smaller than you would expect a snack cake to be, but hey, it's a piece of chocolate cake with only 3 grams of fat.
