I decided to start cooking more often, and this was absolutely delicious! The recipe came out of Betty Crocker's Bisquick Cookbook. I'm a big fan of simple recipes.

Hanky Pankies
A holiday season tradition. I don't know what they are really called; I just remember always calling them Hanky Pankies growing up. I suppose you could also call them "Heart attack on Rye," although that's not the most appetizing of names.
1 lb ground beef
1 lb sausage
1 lb Velveeta
1 lb cocktail rye bread
Brown ground beef and sausage; drain. Add Velveeta and stir until the cheese is all melted. Spread onto cocktail rye and bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes (just long enough to toast the bread)
